The Viglen Student Portal was created to enable Students, Parents and members of Academic Staff to purchase low cost, high quality software for use on their own personal machines. Most of the software available on the VSP is provided at a special price for Students and Academic Staff. As such you may be asked to prove your status when you purchase software from our site.

The Viglen Student Portal is no ordinary online software shop. We are working with a significant number of vendors to bring a vast range of software to the student population from a single site. This includes your every-day word processor as well as some new titles you may not expect to see, such as educational software for the Nintendo DS, software to help you pass your driving test, even products to teach you a new language for when you take a year out and travel the world!
As well as our core services, we are also actively exploring new ways for you to access software and digital content through Home Access programmes, digital downloads and the latest in application streaming technologies.

The educational discounts we have made available via this portal are only available to students currently enrolled full-time or part-time at a School, College or University in the UK, their parents or academic staff. By registering, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions that state you qualify for those discounts.
By creating an account you can log-in and start shopping anytime, anywhere. Registering also gives you the opportunity to write product reviews to help your fellow students; receive news about free training, new or free trial products, special offers and much more. -
You can buy at VSP using your credit or debit card and the online transaction is totally safe. All our payments are processed by Sagepay - a world-leading payment processing company. We use secure encrypted transmission of your payment details, verified by VeriSign, a globally recognised mark of security, so no-one can see or record your credit or debit card number. We never store any payment card information to ensure your security.

Yes. An invoice is sent automatically to you by email after you place your order. You can also find a record in the 'My Orders' section of 'My Account' after you login.

If you choose one of our digital products, then you will be able to access your software straight away. Boxed software will be despatched within 3-5 working days. Due to the nature of some supplier’s academic eligibility criteria, VSP must validate a number of orders. This could lead to a delay in the delivery of your order of up to 10 days where your eligibility needs to be verified.
To view the status of your order, please login and go to the 'My Orders' section of your VSP account. -
In most cases shipping is available to United Kingdom addresses only. HOWEVER, please note that you may incur additional delivery charges for non-Microsoft products if you do not reside on the UK mainland. This covers places such as Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Hebrides etc. Unfortunately these additional delivery charges for physical products are charged by the software vendors themselves. If these delivery charges apply to your order, we will contact you AFTER you have placed your initial order. We cannot apply these costs at time of order as different suppliers charge different rates for different locations!
However, for some products we are able to ship to BFPO addresses. Please e-mail viglenstudentportal@viglen.co.uk for further details. -
VSP will provide answers to questions relating to the purchase of software from our site and queries on orders placed with us. We do not provide support on the installation or setup of software.

When you purchase a Microsoft Digital Download, it will be available to download through the 'Microsoft Downloads' section of your account immediately after purchase. From this time, you will have 30 days to download your product before our Microsoft partners will revoke your access to the download. We strongly recommend that you store a copy of the download on either an external hard drive or other removable media so that you have it available should you have any problems with your computer in future.
